Anti-bullying Week November 2017

In association with the Anti-Bullying Alliance we recognised Anti-Bullying Week with a series of events designed to raise the profile of bullying behaviours in school.

We started the week off with a Wear Odd Socks Day and a whole school assembly about bullying.

The teachers then planned activities in the classrooms to support children in talking about bullying.

Each class voted for 2 Anti-Bullying Ambassadors who would be there to support children with their relationships in the playground at playtimes.

On Wednesday we had another whole school assembly about how important we all are and that are differences are what makes us special. We finished this off with a balloon launch. We sent off positive messages into the local area with details of contacting us on Twitter.

The children finished off their great work on anti-bullying such as posters, role play and raps and presented this to the whole school at the end of the week.

In the words of the Dalai Lama 'Be kind whenever possible...it is always possible'.
