Holiday Request Form

Since September 2013 Headteachers MAY NOT grant leave of absence during term time unless there are exceptional circumstances. Headteachers are therefore no longer able to authorise holidays during term time.

These changes have been made by the Government’s Department for Education and can be found in the published amendments to the Education (Pupil Registration) (England) Regulations 2006. Individual schools have no power to influence or overrule these rules. All applications for leave of absence during term time should be made in writing and addressed to the Principal prior to the absence.
