  • World Book Day

    2nd March 2018

    World Book Day will now be celebrated on Mondy 5th March. The theme is Harry Potter/Witches and Wizards, however children can come to school in a costume for any of their favourite book characters. Mrs. Kirkham and her team are preparing a special Harry Potter themed lunch and there are fun activities planned for the day in classes.

    East Garforth Primary Academy is a 'Good' school.

    In June 2017 Ofsted commented that:

    'Pupils achieve well as a result of good teaching'.

    'Pupils display good attitudes, focus on their work and behave well'. 

    'Leaders ensure that pupils make good progress'.

    We are thrilled with the findings of this inspection and continue to strive to provide an excellent education for all.

  • West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue

    23rd February 2017

    West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue delivered a very informative session to our Y5's about being safe in the car as well as being aware of fire safety in the home. Thank you to them for helping us to keep our children safe.

    We welcomed mums, dads and relatives to school today to hear about the fantastic time we had at Robinwood. The photos are now all available on the Robinwood page in the Teaching and Learning section of the website. What lovely memories we have. The children were a credit to their parents as well as the school! Bring on next year!

  • Young Voices

    We had a great night at Young Voices at Sheffield Arena on Wednesday 11th January. The children were a credit to the school and made the teachers so proud of them. What an amazing event it was, awesome singing, incredible dancing and beatboxing! Bring on next year!

  • Decorating the tree

    From the Foundation Stage up to Year 6, every child has made their own tree decoration. Today we had a very festive assembly singing and having lots of fun whilst we hung our decorations. Our tree looks amazing!

    There will be a Cafe selling delicious treats, Santa will be visiting us in his Grotto, there's a raffle and tombola, games and crafts, Christmas stalls and much, much more. Please come and support this event on Friday 9th December 3.30-5.30pm

  • Early Years Outdoor Learning

    1st December 2016

    Work has begun on our new Early Years Outdoor area. There will be a climbing frame and slide along with a new multilevel water reservoir and water wall. These improvements will develop our provision for gross motor control and scientific enquiry, along with collaborative work and good quality talk. 

  • Poppy Appeal

    Our Poppy Appeal raised a fantastic £458.54 for the Royal British legion. Thank you to our families for their kind generousity. This contributed to a district toal of £17050.991 We recieved a thank you card from Terry Thackral the Local Honorary Organiser.

  • SugarShakes Christmas window

    The children have arrived to school all dressed up in spots and Pudsey clothes for a fun filled day of fundraising for Children in Need. We have a playtime Bake Sale, our familes have kindly donated lots of delicious treats! There is also a SPOT THE SPOT competion. Find 20 hidden spots around school and be entered into the prize draw.The children also had the opportunity to contribute to the menu for lunch today.
